Ava has been living with me for the past few months. She is a 6 month old Rottweiler puppy with tons of love to give. She really is one of the sweetest dogs I've met.
Recently, she underwent two surgeries for her eye, as it had cherry eye, as well as a deformity. The first surgery was to try and repair the third eyelid without removing it. A small piece of her third eyelid was removed and the rest stitched down. The result was a minor improvement, but she still had a large bump on her eye (see photos below).
The second surgery was to remove the third eyelid completely and has made a vast difference. She can now see out of her whole eye again!  Thanks to Valley Veterinary Clinic for taking such good care of her.

Ava is available for adoption to the right home through B.A.R.K. Ottawa.

Meet Luna, a timid 18 month old Miniature Poodle mix. I took these photos for the rescue. If you are interested in knowing more, visit www.bark-ottawa.com.

Well, it's getting cold outside, so I figured I would warm you all up with a few summer photos. This little guy was not a foster, but is my friend's doggy... and he was no bigger than a blade of grass when he was a pup.

I miss the warm summer days, where we could go hang out at the park all day and the dogs would actually be tired when they came home! Nowadays, they get cold and want to go home right away...

Enjoy!

I dressed as an AT-AT for Halloween, and took photos. Star Wars and pictures, yes please. Here are some of the best costumes (and a lot of Star Wars ones, clearly).

Meet Ava, my eighth foster. Ava is a five month old Rottweiler pup that has so much love to give. She was surrendered because her owner couldn't handle a puppy with her three year old daughter at the same time. That being said, the only 'bad' thing Ava does, is eat really fast... Bad being in brackets because this is entirely normal puppy behaviour... Have you met Zeus?

Here are some photos of us in the park, one blistery day. I edited the first photo of Ava, as she has cherry eye right now. The rest are her in her element, cherry eye and all. She will be getting it fixed on the tenth of November and she is really excited.

In other news, the fight continues... The fight to end the sale of puppies in pet stores and the fight to end Breed Specific Legislation. It hurts my heart to know that these two things exist.

I have started a group on Facebook, so if anyone wants to help out, or know more, this is where to find me.

To close, just thought I would let you know that I am boycotting the new 'Sit and Stay' dog cafe in Ottawa, as the owner has made a personal decision to not allow Pit Bulls in her establishment. So sad.

Photos from a day at the dog park. Piper was my first full grown foster, and one of the kindest dogs I have ever met!

These are the little kids I am fostering. They have both happily found their forever homes, but Teek will be with me until the weekend!
They are both amazing dogs, very social and very brave!

here is a little preview of the wedding. gen wanted some portraits that were a little grainy looking, so i used 400 ISO, to get that natural noise, rather than doing it in post production.

the wedding went really well. this is my first one, and it was quite the challenge, as it was a winter wedding. no sunlight and dark interiors. BUT, it was really quite fun. ashley helped me out by being a second shooter and all the shots turned out great.

on another note, i have taken in all my 4x5 negs to get developed. they were ready today, but i forgot. i will not have them scanned for awhile, as i don't have a proper scanner, but i will figure something out.

that's all for now...

happy new year.
